OneLove began in May of 1994 as a youth basketball outreach at Rogers Park Baptist Church in Chicago. In eight short years what began with six young men grew to over 300 a week stopping by the church. Not only could they play basketball, use the recording studio, grab some food, sit in on a Bible study or simply find a place of safety to catch their breath.
From there OneLove moved to Chicago's notorious west side community of North Lawndale. For the next 18 years we offered Godly Street Talk to those on the streets, spent 18 years at Cook County Jail serving those mighty men in Division 10 Maximum Security. We turned floor B into "The Life Learning Dorm" offering tutoring, Bible studies, computers, counseling plus the love and support they needed to rise as leaders! We spent 13 years impacting the lives of 7,000 youth yearly who were involved in the Juvenile Detention Center.
It was our hopes of building a youth center on 16th street called Studio 29:11, a place of hope for the hopeless. Unfortunately the powers of Chicago stopped this dream, but did not stop us!
In March of 2015 OneLove was born after 30 young men in a Chicago high school who were struggling came together to form a family called OneLove! Although most saw no future for these young men, we did! Together they beat all odds to either graduate or advance to their next grade level while inspiring the young grades to do the same!
Today OneLove is impacting people across the globe through our YouTube Channel, our No More Lies Class or in our Neshama Sheli' Family Gatherings. OneLove continues to serve Yah's children during our OneLove Atlanta Shabbat.
Shelter of Hope Foundation began at Rogers Park Baptist Church. In eight years we grew from six to over 300 youth a week stopping by the church to play basketball, write a song in our recording studio, grab a bite to eat or in our afterschool program called "Youth With a Purpose".
Division 10, Maximum Security, Floor 2B is where we created the Life Learning Dorm impacting 75 men every 15 months with Bible studies, anger management skills, computers, as well as the love and support they needed to recognize they are valuable leaders needed in our society.
Shelter of Hope moved to Chicago's notorious west side community of North Lawndale where we purchased property to build a youth center called Studio 29:11!
We partnered with Cathy's Ultimate Soul Food restaurant serving over 2,500 people each year a Easter and Thanksgiving meal!
OneLove was birthed out of a group of young men in a Chicago High School. They were labeled as "troubled", but we saw leaders!
In March of 2022, OneLove moved to Atlanta Georgia to continue serving and making an impact in the lives of those we are honored to meet.
OneLove has a 30 year history of providing mentoring for at-risk youth.
With nearly 40,000 followers, our YouTube Channel has been speaking truth on many issues to include White Supremacy, Racism, The True Hebrews and more...
